What is your Birthstone?

Birthstones are quite regularly the subject of conversation with my customers whilst conducting my best price for gold business whether on the phone or indeed in person. Some are really into what was the zodiac, positions of the sun, moon and planets within the constellations and the associated birthstones, the colour and gem etc., others haven’t a clue but are interested. It is worth noting that birthstones were once related to signs of the zodiac. Over the years the signs of the zodiac have been superseded with months of the year. Colours have been assigned to each month (they do not always relate to the gemstone) and many of the really expensive stones have been exchanged for cheaper stones.
